Out here in Joshua Tree, and since October 2004, I’ve had the privilege and exciting pleasure of hand feeding, observing and interacting with numerous wild creatures — and some have even allowed me to photograph these wonderful events. I’d like to share these moments with you.
These events don’t happen every day… but when I get the opportunity to photograph an encounter with a “new” creature I had not handled before, or a special observation, that’s when I post these photos. Later, the photos become part of my Photo Gallery, which currently is a “work in progress”.
Nearly all my photos have been taken by myself, with an old Olympus C2100, 2.1 megapixel digital that has a 10x optical zoom. Some of the photos certainly are not National Geographic quality but are likely the best I have for that rare and fleeting moment. You see, wild creatures don’t just pose and patiently wait while I adjust my camera settings. So, it’s a hurried “point ‘n shoot” proposition and hope I get something worthy of being published. So, what you see, is what you get. WYSIWYG — wizzy-wig.
